Neuroscience

Aleria’s neuroscience technology makes it possible to gather neuronal activity recordings from your developing neuronal cultures with minimal effort. Further, it is possible to perform parallel electrophysiology on multiple cultures for high-throughput experiments.

Our novel approach (patent pending) relies on a silicone neuronal culture substrate which integrates microfabricated pipettes/microchannels, the E2dish.

How to use the E2dish technology
explained in three sentences

  1. Prepare your culture using standard protocols in our consumable multiwell silicone plates
  2. Wait aprox. one week for axons to sprout into subtrate-embedded micropipettes/microchannels
  3. Lower reusable macroelectrodes into the chambers and you are ready to easily record neuronal electrically. Use your voltage-clamp & current-clamp amplifiers if you have them in your lab or use our E2drive amplifiers for improved signal-to-noise ratios.
